…is that there will be a second and a third and so on and so forth and before you know it, stones will be cast your way, since nobody is perfect.

So you challenge me to be the best person I can be? The best person will not put up with your crap. Wait until I throw the challenges back at you.

Survivor Season

In the reality game show Survivor, the object of the game is to outwit, outplay and outlast. That’s just a game.

To outlast, in real life, might mean knowing when to quit. Life has misseducated us that quitting is bad. Quitters never win. Although that may be true one must know what is at stake. What will I win? Is it worth the trouble? If it’s not, then why not quit?

Aside: Will this mean that I will finally quit my lengthy blog break? You bet!

I realized that I usually blog when there’s this change in my life. All those seemingly incoherent entries are simple ways of finding myself. I have found myself and was happy with what I have found. Like everything else, I change and I once again begin to find my new self.

PLUS, it’s sometimes fun to shake things a little. You’ll see… (When I say “you” I mean a certain group of people and when I say “you’ll see” I mean it in a threatening way!) when no one is looking.

Lessons From Divisoria

I like going to Divisoria for cheap finds. One only needs a couple of skills to make it worthwhile.

For starters, you should know what you want. Divisoria offers a great variety of goods. One can get tricked a cunning salesman to buy an item not on the shopping list. The next thing you know, you don’t have enough money to buy what you really want.

You should also know how to get what you want. You should know how to haggle. I usually fake a smile so I look more like-able. That gives me more chance for a bigger discount. You should also know you’re way around. There are certain short-cuts to get faster to that great buy. Divisoria is not Divisoria without the maddening crowd. Sometimes you just have to learn to push the people blocking your way. Otherwise you’ll be moving in a snail’s pace or worse, stuck where you are. If somebody blamed you for pushing them, you can always transfer the blame to the person behind you. Expect to push get pushed as well.

Divisoria is filled with all sorts of people. Pick-pockets included. You should learn to protect your self. Always check and guard your valuables. One distraction is all it takes so always keep that presence of mind. I haven’t been to Divisoria for a long time. I value that place and the lessons it taught me. These lessons I use today, here at work.

Christmas in May

Yesterday, I got a notice to claim a package at the post office. I was able to claim it today after I went to get my ears vacuumed. It contains the Christmas gift from a blogger friend. She was asking every now and then if it has already arrived. We both think it already got lost or somebody wanted it for themselves. Finally, after 4 months!
