Pipay in her plaid pekpek short pants crossed the V.Luna, to get to the other side, of course. She felt the soft chill from the December breeze against her wavy hair. She walked with hips and arms swaying with a pink plastic bag held at the end.

The jeep screeched swerving slightly avoiding her. It almost hit a motorcycle on the right. Braking powers saved the day. Two drivers were stunned.

“Punyeta! Para ka kasing model kung maglakad.”

Pipay without a scratch reached the other side. She never felt so beautiful in her entire life.

There’s a lot of wannabes out there. I wannabe a parody.

I like going to Divisoria for cheap finds. One only needs a couple of skills to make it worthwhile.

For starters, you should know what you want. Divisoria offers a great variety of goods. One can get tricked a cunning salesman to buy an item not on the shopping list. The next thing you know, you don’t have enough money to buy what you really want.

You should also know how to get what you want. You should know how to haggle. I usually fake a smile so I look more like-able. That gives me more chance for a bigger discount. You should also know you’re way around. There are certain short-cuts to get faster to that great buy. Divisoria is not Divisoria without the maddening crowd. Sometimes you just have to learn to push the people blocking your way. Otherwise you’ll be moving in a snail’s pace or worse, stuck where you are. If somebody blamed you for pushing them, you can always transfer the blame to the person behind you. Expect to push get pushed as well.

Divisoria is filled with all sorts of people. Pick-pockets included. You should learn to protect your self. Always check and guard your valuables. One distraction is all it takes so always keep that presence of mind. I haven’t been to Divisoria for a long time. I value that place and the lessons it taught me. These lessons I use today, here at work.

Yesterday, I got a notice to claim a package at the post office. I was able to claim it today after I went to get my ears vacuumed. It contains the Christmas gift from a blogger friend. She was asking every now and then if it has already arrived. We both think it already got lost or somebody wanted it for themselves. Finally, after 4 months!

…been to church more than the whole of last year.

…watched two shows in CCP twice. The third will be tonight.

…made two miniature lawn chairs out of popsicle sticks.

…been cleared of pimples!

…found a treasure in a Cubao ukay-ukay.

…have consulted a doctor twice for two different ailments.

…finished reading a book and attended a seminar – both self-help.

…cried at least four times.

…not gone to barbershops. I go to Fix instead.

…confessed to a friend. A major confession.

…attended two funerals for two uncles.

…done a lot more thing I cannot write here…at least not right now.

As much as I want to write about what keeps me busy, I can’t.

Maybe because I’m busy.
